Silver Lake is a pristine, private 125-acre lake in Dutchess County, NY. It is close to the villages of Rhinebeck, Rhinecliff, Red Hook, Stanfordville, Pine Plains, and the city of Kingston. Our community consists of approximately 80 households, who are dedicated to maintaining the beauty and serenity our beloved lake. As of 2025, we are active members of NYSFOLA (New York Federation of Lake Associations) and are currently pursuing training in the New York CSLAP program (Citizens Statewide Lake Assesment Program).
Our lake supports diverse aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems - ducks, geese, swans, egrets, herons, bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, beavers, river otters, turtles, frogs have all been observed around the lake. Our residents enjoy kayaking, fishing, swimming, hiking and more. Silver Lake does not allow motorboats and all access is privately owned.
